Aim:

To create an inclusive, safe, and equitable environment by promoting equal opportunities, preventing discrimination, and supporting the rights and dignity of all individuals regardless of gender, caste, religion, disability, or socioeconomic background.

Objectives:

1. To promote awareness of equality, equity, and inclusiveness.
2. To prevent discrimination, harassment, and bias & Conduct trainings and sensitization programs.
3. To ensure compliance with equality and human-rights guidelines

Mechanism & Functions:

• Formation & Structure - A committee of faculty, students, and staff, led by a convener, manages activities and grievance procedures.
• Awareness & Training - Organize seminars, workshops, guest lectures, and campaigns on equality, gender sensitivity, anti-discrimination laws, etc..
• Reporting & Grievance Redressal - Confidential channels for reporting discrimination or harassment. Inquiry sub-committee to investigate complaints.
• Monitoring & Implementation - Regular reviews of policies promoting equality, recommending improvements to management.
• Collaboration - Coordination with Internal Complaints Committee, Anti-Ragging Cell, Counseling Centre, and other support units.

Expected Outcomes:

• A safer and more inclusive campus/workplace environment.
• Increased awareness of equality, equity, and human rights among students and staff.
• Reduction in incidents of discrimination, harassment, or inequality.
• Empowerment of marginalized groups and enhanced participation in institutional activities.
