Animal House
Introduction
The Animal House facility of the college is registered with the Committee for the Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CCSEA), Government of India.
The facility is designed and maintained to meet ethical standards and ensure humane care and use of laboratory animals for education and research purposes.

Objectives of the Animal House
The objective is to provide standard care and ethical treatment to laboratory animals. The facility supports practical training and research under controlled conditions. It ensures welfare standards and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Animal Ethics Committee (IAEC)
The Institutional Animal Ethics Committee is formed as per CCSEA guidelines to oversee all experimental activities. It evaluates and approves protocols before initiation. The committee ensures scientific purpose with minimal discomfort to animals.
Facilities Available in the Animal House
The facility includes rooms for quarantine, storage, and experimentation with temperature and humidity control. Clean and hygienic housing conditions are maintained with proper ventilation and sanitation. Sterilization and waste disposal systems are available.
Animal Husbandry Practices
Animals are provided with standard diet and clean water along with routine health monitoring. Cleaning, bedding change, and hygiene practices are followed regularly. Proper identification and record maintenance are ensured.
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Documented SOPs guide animal handling, care, experiments, and emergency procedures. Euthanasia and waste disposal practices follow CCSEA standards. All staff are trained to follow safety and welfare protocols.
