The Department of Pharmacology at SGRS College of Pharmacy, Saswad offers comprehensive education and research opportunities at the B. Pharm, M. Pharm (since 2007), and Ph.D. levels. The department is dedicated to develop competent professionals through a balanced blend of academic excellence, innovative research, and hands-on practical training.
Established in 1993, the department has contributed significantly to pharmaceutical education under PDEA’s Seth Govind Raghunath Sable College of Pharmacy. The M. Pharm (Pharmacology) program is approved by PCI and DTE, and affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University.
Pharmacology as a discipline focuses on understanding how drugs interact with biological systems, uncovering molecular mechanisms, and developing safer and more effective therapeutic agents. The department actively engages in a wide range of research domains including preclinical pharmacology, toxicology, molecular biology, and drug discovery.
Vision
Developing skilled and ethical pharmacy professionals through excellence in pharmacology education and research.
