Seth Govind Raghunath Sable College of Pharmacy (SGRS), Saswad, was established in 1993 at the behest of Late Shri Rajivseth Sable, Ex‑Vice President of the Pune District Education Association (PDEA), Pune. The college is located in Saswad, approximately 30 km from Pune, and is well connected through major road networks across Maharashtra.
Nestled amidst serene green surroundings, the campus provides an ideal academic environment. Saswad is a town rich in cultural and historical significance, located near the renowned Purandhar Fort and home to ancient temples such as Vateshwar, Sangameshwar, and Sopankaka Samadhi Mandir. Despite being a small town, it offers essential modern amenities including internet facilities, computer institutes, and quality healthcare centres.
The college is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), recognized by the Government of Maharashtra and the Directorate of Technical Education (MS), and is permanently affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) and Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE). The institute has been awarded the prestigious NAAC ‘A’ Accreditation and the Best College Award from Savitribai Phule Pune University.
The college offers D. Pharm, B. Pharm, and M. Pharm programs in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, and Pharmacognosy. It is also an approved Research Centre for Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences under SPPU. The campus is equipped with excellent infrastructure including modern laboratories, spacious classrooms, a well‑stocked library, computer facilities, and hostel accommodation for girl students.
SGRS is guided by a team of enthusiastic, highly qualified, and dedicated faculty members who focus on holistic student development through academic excellence, research, and co‑curricular activities. The Training and Placement Cell (TPC) actively connects students with industry opportunities and publishes the placement brochure “Horizon.”
