Examination Cell - B. Pharm & M. Pharm
Aim
To ensure smooth, transparent, fair, and efficient conduct of all examinations and to address student examination-related grievances in a timely and just manner.
Objectives
- To plan, organize and supervise all internal, sessional, and university examinations.
- To maintain integrity, confidentiality, and discipline throughout the examination process.
- To ensure compliance with guidelines issued by the University, PCI, and regulatory authorities.
- To prevent malpractices and adopt strict measures for maintaining exam transparency.
- To provide a proper mechanism for students to submit examination-related grievances.
- To review and resolve grievances such as mark verification, revaluation requests, seating issues, time-table clashes, and malpractice cases.
- To maintain records of examinations, grievances, redressal actions, and committee meetings.
- To promote fairness and equal opportunity to all students.
FUNCTIONS
A. Examination Functions
- Preparation of examination calendar, schedules, seating arrangements, and duty charts.
- Allocation of invigilation duties and supervision of examination halls.
- Safe receipt, storage, and distribution of question papers and answer sheets.
- Conduct of internal assessment exams, sessional exams, practical exams, and university exams as per norms.
- Ensuring proper functioning of the exam control room.
- Maintaining confidentiality in question paper setting and printing.
- Monitoring use of unfair means and taking disciplinary actions as per rules.
- Coordinating with the University regarding exam updates, circulars, and result processing.
- Maintaining records of attendance sheets, mark lists, and exam proceedings.
B. Grievance Redressal Functions
- Receiving student grievances related to exam marks, evaluation, exam forms, hall tickets, attendance, etc.
- Reviewing grievances in a transparent manner and providing fair solutions within a stipulated time.
- Guiding students regarding rechecking/revaluation procedures as per University guidelines.
- Addressing grievances regarding seating issues, timetable clashes, or exam malpractice cases.
- Maintaining the confidentiality of grievance cases and ensuring unbiased redressal.
- Preparing grievance reports and submitting them to higher authorities (Principal/University) when required.
C. Documentation & Reporting
- Preparing minutes of committee meetings and maintaining yearly records.
- Submission of examination and grievance redressal reports for NAAC/NBA/PCI compliance.
- Periodic review of examination policies and recommending improvements.
